Film Solutions for All Applications
VERSIV™ Films offers the broadest line of high-performance polymeric films. Saint-Gobain has more than 40 years of experience in selecting and processing premium grade polymers into specialty films to deliver the perfect combination of temperature, chemical, and dielectric performance for your application. We utilize a full range of polymers, including FEP, PFA, PTFE, ETFE, ECTFE, PI, and UHMW PE.
MATERIALS FOR EVERY APPLICATIONS
Range of materials
PFA-WF Welding Film is a fluoropolymer film made from perfluoroalkoxy (PFA) resin. This is a cost-effective solution for use in high-temperature applications that do not require high aesthetic or electrical standards – like hot melt adhesive (welding tape).
VERSIV™ non-stick release, barrier protection, friction control, and dielectric control insulation solutions are used in the food, energy, medical and electronics sectors. They are ideal for manufacturers who want to optimize performance and efficiency in challenging processes and operational environments.
Used in open mesh dryer belt applications and fabrics where high tensile and tear resistance are essential, TCK Coated Aramid is ideal for moist or wet environments. Extremely resistant to strength loss after flex folding and lighter weight styles retain their strength.
Resistant to failure in high-flex applications, Silicone Coated Fabrics are used in belting projects, gasketing material, and silicone release cloths for heat sealing and welding applications. They can also be manufactured with a grippy surface and can be used in direct food contact.
The strength and rigidity of this VERSIV™belting fabric make it ideally suited for large belts or those operating in harsh, high-temperature or high-volume environments. Mechanically stable under pressure and thermally stable up to 500˚F (260˚C), it offers great release characteristics. Made up of high-quality PTFE coating on a woven glass fiber substrate, the fabric comes with a range of controlled texture options.
Our woven fiberglass comes in either open mesh or porous styles. With open mesh, you get large windows (¼ inch x ¼ inch/6.35x6.35mm)) to allow specific airflow through your dryer belt. Porous products are tightly woven fabrics that are lightly coated with PTFE to allow airflows of 5 – 60 CFM.
Tear-resistant PTFE-coated woven fiberglass fabric is extremely flexible, crease-resistant, and easily fabricated. The antistatic version features all the excellent chemical and mechanical benefits of the range and is also black – eliminating electrical sparks and static charging. Both choices are durable and easy to use.
With its high abrasion resistance, robustness, and mechanical stability, our skived UHMV-PE films are bonding agents that also provide self-lubricating properties, anti-stick and sound-deadening properties. This makes them ideal for a range of demanding applications across a range of industries, from electronics to automotive.
Our SHEERFILL permanent tensioned membrane structure are an important part of the construction process in the sports, transportation, retail and specialty markets. Made of fiberglass and polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), SHEERFILL Architectural Membranes fabrics are available in a range of strengths and light transmission levels to provide total freedom of design.
Originally designed to reduce noise and reverberations in stadiums, the Fabrasorb material also enhances the thermal characteristics of fabric roof systems. The Fabrasorb acoustical membrane is made using fiberglass and polytetrafluoroethylene composites for a translucent, non-combustible finish with long-life characteristics.
Made from a composite material made of fiberglass and polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), SGM Shade Mesh materials are used in façades and shading applications including custom façades, modular façades, architectural umbrellas and more. The mesh construction allows for more natural light and air to circulate through the fabric.
ILLUMINATE is made by laminating PTFE (TEFLON®) films to PTFE-coated fiberglass. Like other SHEERFILL® Architectural Membranes, Illuminate is watertight and helps keep the elements out, and has a Class A fire rating. Its specialized design provides high strength, long life, and the flexibility to add a range of colors.
