A fluoropolymer film that we have manufactured from fluorinated ethylene propylene (FEP) resin to support applications that have unusual endurance, thermal or chemical requirements.

Edged Skived PTFE

The outstanding insulation and low friction properties mean Skived PTFE Films are the first choice for niche food, pharma and electronics release applications, as well as storage tank liners and pump and valve diaphragms. The wide product range includes different types of skived PTFE suitable for unique customer applications – like Virgin PTFE, modified PTFE and PTFE compounds. A bondable version with best-in-class etching on one or both sides is also available.

Versiv Composite 4500 Orange

Based on a high-strength woven fiberglass substrate, this material has superb mechanical strength and flexibility. Engineered for use in wet and dry flue-gas conditions in flexible expansion joints, this versatile product can be used as a single-layer expansion joint or as part of a multilayer configuration.

VERSIV™ Natural Black Fabric

Tear-resistant PTFE-coated woven fiberglass fabric is extremely flexible, crease-resistant, and easily fabricated. The antistatic version features all the excellent chemical and mechanical benefits of the range and is also black – eliminating electrical sparks and static charging. Both choices are durable and easy to use.

X22 Green

When you need the highest level of chemical protection, VERSIV™ CBRN composite barrier materials are excellent for applications ranging in scale from PPE to large, complex shelter systems. Used by military, medical, first responders and industrial operatives in the most challenging professional environments, these products utilize Saint-Gobain’s fluoropolymer barrier technologies and are highly customizable for your unique requirements.

VERSIV™ Cast PTFE Films have a special multi-layer construction comprised of various layers configured with different polymers and polymer blends – which can be customized to meet your unique needs. They are used in heat weldable and anti-static conductive applications as well as mold release and vacuum bagging.

PTFE Film

With its high abrasion resistance, robustness, and mechanical stability, our skived UHMV-PE films are bonding agents that also provide self-lubricating properties, anti-stick and sound-deadening properties. Microporous PTFE (Zitex®) G is used as a hydrophobic venting membrane, gas diffusion membrane in sensors, and filter membrane for particle filtration.

Filter and diffusion membranes

When dealing with corrosive or aggressive fluids, or high-temperature gas, our Zitex microporous PTFE membranes are chemically inert, thermally stable, and hydrophobic. The material retains liquids or resists liquid penetration while allowing gas to pass through within operating limits. Moisture-resistant and easily sterilizable with high wet strength, the non-stick surface ensures excellent filter cake release.

Flooring, door and windows Manufacturing

Our mechanically strong and stable PTFE coated fabrics are designed to create durable, customized belts for consistent production processes such as being used as a release sheet material for window maunfacturing. They offer excellent heat transfer at temperatures of up to 500°F (260°C). The easy release and non-stick surfaces also mean minimal cross contamination and consistently high-quality product finishes.

The strength and rigidity of this VERSIV™belting fabric make it ideally suited for large belts or those operating in harsh, high-temperature or high-volume environments. Mechanically stable under pressure and thermally stable up to 500˚F (260˚C), it offers great release characteristics. Made up of high-quality PTFE coating on a woven glass fiber substrate, the fabric comes with a range of controlled texture options.

Used in open mesh dryer belt applications and fabrics where high tensile and tear resistance are essential, TCK Coated Aramid is ideal for moist or wet environments. Extremely resistant to strength loss after flex folding and lighter weight styles retain their strength.

Our FDA compliant PTFE coated, silicone coated and open mesh fabrics are used as conveyor belts and release sheets in a wide range of food processing applications – from grilling and tortilla presses to nonstick belts used for vacuum drying and Lyophilisation. The non-stick surfaces are resistant to greases, fats, sugars, and proteins, and provide long-lasting, easy-to-clean and inert surfaces.

Packaging

Our coated and laminated fabrics are used for heat sealing and shrink wrapping packaging applications as well as the manufacture of plastic bags, while our films can create high-performance bags, hydrophobic venting, release liners, and more. Our solutions provide excellent heat transfer, various imprinted textures, and release at both extreme hot and cold temperatures. This also makes them suited for curtains used in ovens to contain heat as well as side sealer belts to weld plastic packaging.

PFA-WF Welding Film is a fluoropolymer film made from perfluoroalkoxy (PFA) resin. This is a cost-effective solution for use in high-temperature applications that do not require high aesthetic or electrical standards – like hot melt adhesive (welding tape). 

VERSIV™ FEP Hazy

Fluoropolymer film manufactured from fluorinated ethylene propylene (FEP) resin designed to be a cost-effective solution for adhesive welding tape applications.

VERSIV™ TCK Open Mesh

Our woven fiberglass comes in either open mesh or porous styles. With open mesh, you get large windows (¼ inch x ¼ inch/6.35x6.35mm)) to allow specific airflow through your dryer belt. Porous products are tightly woven fabrics that are lightly coated with PTFE to allow airflows of 5 – 60 CFM.

From dosing pumps to refrigerator valves, our Ultraflex and PTFE films can be used for stand-alone diaphragms or composite ones. Either way, they provide long-term performance and stability while also making the whole process cleaner with SIP/CIP cleanability.
