Automotive lightweight composites

Convoluted tubing
Used as a non-combustible, chemical, and mechanical barrier, our VERSIV™ films and PTFE coated fabrics are an integral layer on spiral wound hydraulic hoses used for corrosive engine fuels. Resistant to aggressive chemicals, high temperatures, and tears, they protect from internal pressure and external damage. The long lifetime and mechanical durability also provide excellent flexibility and reliability.

Tear-resistant PTFE-coated woven fiberglass fabric is extremely flexible, crease-resistant, and easily fabricated. The antistatic version features all the excellent chemical and mechanical benefits of the range and is also black – eliminating electrical sparks and static charging. Both choices are durable and easy to use.

E-motor electrical insulation
Our fluoropolymer-based electrical insulation enhances the performance of the slot liners used in electric vehicle motors. Working as either insulation between the motor core and windings or the end turn phases, our PTFE, PFA, and FEP films are commonly used with polyimide to create very thin materials with high dielectric strength, excellent thermal conductivity, and high-temperature performance and stability.

Used in specialty applications like aerospace power cable and battery membranes, our paste Extruded PTFE Films offer dielectric constant control, porosity control, and excellent thermal and chemical resistance. Our best in class extrusion process provides the longest splice-free joints and a wide range of colors.




Insulation blanketing
Our polyimide, coated glass fabrics, especially Beta Cloth, and coated film solutions help protect sensitive equipment by insulating and supporting mechanical stability. Used for multi-layer insulation blankets and protection for satellites and spacecraft, they offer high performance across a huge temperature range and low solar transmittance while also being adaptable to different geometric shapes.
Our Products


Beta Cloth is a fiberglass fabric with an extremely tight weave – making it an ideal protective layer in aerospace applications. This composite has a high strength-to-weight ratio and is woven internally then coated with PTFE. With low off-gassing, it’s ideally suited to applications on satellites and space stations.

Low-friction liners
Our guidings and liners reduce the friction in solenoids and other moving applications in order to increase performance in terms of actuation speeds and power requirements. In addition to minimizing energy usage, our PTFE coated fabrics, skived PTFE, and Polyimide composites reduce the physical space needed and provide a highly reliable, long-lasting, and cost-effective solution.

The outstanding insulation and low friction properties mean Skived PTFE Films are the first choice for niche food, pharma and electronics release applications, as well as storage tank liners and pump and valve diaphragms. The wide product range includes different types of skived PTFE suitable for unique customer applications – like Virgin PTFE, modified PTFE and PTFE compounds. A bondable version with best-in-class etching on one or both sides is also available.

With its high abrasion resistance, robustness, and mechanical stability, our skived UHMV-PE films are bonding agents that also provide self-lubricating properties, anti-stick and sound-deadening properties. This makes them ideal for a range of demanding applications across a range of industries, from electronics to automotive.

Paint protection
VERSIV™ paint protection film can cover every external surface of a vehicle to provide protection from chips and scratches, enhancing its appearance and extending its lifespan. Used on automobiles, buses, and trains, the clear flexible, and tough film has an adhesive backing that provides protection no matter how complex the shape it is used on.
