A fluoropolymer film made from ethylene chlorotrifluoroethylene (ECTFE) resin, this product provides outstanding chemical resistance and the highest tensile strength of the extruded fluoropolymer films.



ECTFE is used in non-stick surfaces and linings, thermoformed parts, diaphragms, and release film for composite molding where elongation requirements are moderate. With a non-stick surface and excellent chemical resistance, it’s available in pigmented films that increase visibility to reduce the risk of downstream foreign-object contamination.

Product Details

ECTFE has the highest tear strength and mechanical strength of the melt-processible fluoropolymer films. With good anti-stick release properties and superb chemical resistance, its low specific gravity yields more square feet per pound than other fluoropolymers. Available in translucent pigmented form and thicknesses from 0.0005” (12.7μm) to 0.010” (254μm), this tough, technically excellent product is industry-leading and best in class.
