Fabrasorb Acoustical Membrane

Used as interior liners in SHEERFILL® Architectural Membrane systems, FABRASORB Acoustical Membranes help architects create acoustically comfortable and climate-controlled spaces, even in spaces as large as sports stadiums or airport terminals.

Fabrasorb Acoustical Membrane

Originally designed to reduce noise and reverberation in stadiums, FABRASORB Acoustical Membranes also enhance the thermal characteristics of fabric roof systems. FABRASORB is made using fiberglass and polytetrafluoroethylene composites for a translucent, non-combustible finish with long-life characteristics.

Product Details

FABRASORB acoustical membranes significantly reduce interior noise levels when used as a liner in SHEERFILL®Architectural Membrane systems. It appears as an integral part of the roof itself which enables it to create an insulation layer between the outside and interior spaces for improved climate control. The translucent finish allows natural diffused light in while keeping unwanted acoustical disturbances to a minimum. The specialized design means the material is porous and non-combustible with a Class A fire rating. These properties do not degrade over their long lifespan. FABRASORB can also be used for new or retrofit projects on structures made of glass, brick or any other traditional building material.
