zitex g microporous ptfe

Zitex® Microporous PTFE Films VERSIV

Zitex® G is a versatile microporous form of polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), used in applications such as particle filtration and hydrophobic venting.

Microporous Membranes (Zitex®)

Zitex® G is used as a hydrophobic venting membrane, gas diffusion membrane in sensors, and filter membrane for particle filtration. Resistant to chemical attack by almost all acids, bases, and solvents, it is capable of withstanding wide temperature ranges from -450˚F to 500˚F (-268˚C to 260˚C). Because of its inherent hydrophobicity, Zitex® G allows the passage of gases while preventing liquid flow within operating limits.

Product Details

A tough and versatile product, Zitex® G has a vast range of technical performance properties. It is capable of withstanding a broad use temperature range, non-contaminating, and has high wet strength – while chemical inertness provides broad chemical capability. Zitex® G is sterilizable with steam or chemicals and typically does not require backing materials. This product also has a non-stick surface for outstanding filter cake release and it is self-gasketing – compacting to form its own gasket when clamped between solid flanges. The self-supporting Zitex® G range includes Zitex® G104, G106, G108, G110, and G115 – as well as customized products created for engine seal applications.
