Saint-Gobain Films & Fabrics, a global leader in high-performance, technology-driven materials, is rebranding as Saint-Gobain Composite Solutions to better position the business for changes in the marketplace and to more closely align with its core values. Saint-Gobain Composite Solutions will encompass the company’s familiar, yet refreshed brands SHEERGARD®, SHEERFILL®, ONESUIT®, and VERSIV™—a new brand that represents the true versatility of its products and solutions.

How Does This Impact You?

On the practical side, what you will notice during the transition, will be a variety of changes, including new branding/logos on packaging and paperwork; new brochures and data sheets. We will do our best to implement these changes efficiently.

Please be assured that we are not making any changes to our products or part numbers. Your purchasing staff will not need to change how they communicate with our factories, and your engineering team will see no changes in product performance. What Will Change with the arrival of the new branding?

What you will notice during the transition to our new brands, will be a variety of changes, including new branding/logos on packaging and paperwork; new brochures, and data sheets. We will do our best to implement these changes efficiently. 

What does the new name, Saint-Gobain Composite Solutions, mean?

Through extensive research and listening to customers, we know “Saint-Gobain” is recognized for its history, stability, and vast resources. The update to “Composite Solutions” represents the multiple materials and technologies, plus a variety of expertise, we can combine today to meet your needs. 

Tax/Legal/VAT

Do I need an updated W9 from you?

The formal legal name for the company has not changed so we do not see a need to update the W9. 

Have your bank details changed?

The bank details remain the same. 

Has your company name changed?

The name of legal entities you collaborate with on a daily basis remains the same.

I am currently using St G Perf Plastics / St-Gobain Performance Plastics LTD as your name in our system – do I need to change?

No, you don’t. The name of legal entities you collaborate with daily remains the same.  

Did your company's VAT number / TAX ID and classification change?

The VAT number / TAX ID and classification remain the same, so there is no need to change.

What changes will we be making to our brands?

It’s also important to note the changes we’ve made go beyond our name and image. We’ve made organizational changes as well to operate in a more streamlined and responsive way. Going forward, we will be represented in the market by four distinct product brands: 

SHEERGARD® -Highly customized radome solutions to safeguard communication systems  

SHEERFILL® - High-performance, architectural fabrics providing freedom of design  

ONESUIT® - Extreme levels of protection in hazardous situations  

New VERSIV™ - Versatile composite materials for everything from optical clarity and easy release, to signal integrity and friction control.  

What is going to happen to your old product brands that we are used to?

The proud legacy and heritage of Chemfab, Chemfilm, Coretech, Norfilm, Fluorowrap, and Zitex brands will be now represented by one, simplified and easier-to-remember VERSIV™ brand.

Can you give us an example of the new change for VERSIV™?

As an example of how the brand name change will look: CHEMFAB CF205 will now be called VERSIV CF205 PTFE Fabric
